The Multiclock can be synchronized with incoming MIDI clock, DIN Sync, or analog clock signals from a modular synthesizer system.
#Erm multiclock set up generator
Incoming audio signals are first converted into clock signals then routed to the Multiclock’s four outputs. The E-RM Multiclock USB MIDI-Clock Generator is a comprehensive solution for high-precision synchronization of electronic musical devices to a master DAW. Timing information is sent to the unit from an audio track of the DAW, a process aided by an included plugin. There’s also per-channel Hot-Plug&Play support for MIDI, modular clock, analog LFO, and DIN.Īdditionally, any unused channel can be utilized as a MIDI controller. A USB-equipped version of the Multiclock is also available (priced at 519, as opposed to 449 without USB), which effectively incorporates a MIDI interface as part of the device. The Multiclock consists of four independent channels, each with real-time shift and swing parameters. Each channel can be set to either emit MIDI, DIN sync or analogue clock. The configuration display and rotary encoder on the right-hand side are used to set up each of the channels and adjust global parameters such as time signature. The unit converts many kinds of clock signals into others, drives a Sync plugin via DAW, and perhaps best of all, it is capable of acting as a master clock source for hardware rigs, with no computer required! The E-RM Multiclock is a multifarious sync solution and interface designed as a one-stop shop for the synchronization of compatible audio devices. Each channel can be set to either emit MIDI, DIN sync or analogue. Synchronisation of the multiclock to a DAW relies on a sample accurate audio clock, which allows for rock solid sync signals. I used an AC Adapter from another synth that I have (Arturia Minibrute) in order to turn it on, but it will NOT come with that adapter, as I still use & need that one for my Arturia synth. You are buying exactly what I got: the Multiclock unit with the firmware that was on it when it arrived at my doorstep (v1.06 - not the most updated version of v1.08), original box and original AC Adapter, which is a two-pronged ***EUROPEAN*** adapter (therefore a different 9v adapter or a "Euro plug to USA plug" converter will be necessary). Sat in my closet for over five years untouched! The most I have ever done with this thing is take it out of the box to verify that it turns on, and it does. E-RM Multiclock, purchased brand new from Perfect Circuit in 2017 and NEVER USED, EVER.
